Yet a common source of annoyance on holiday is having to do without the creature comforts that make life enjoyable at home. We solve this paradox by offering our guests a tranquil and private home-away-from-home that is fully furnished according to our personal tastes, with comfortable beds, sheets, towels, and a fully-equipped kitchen. This makes our apartments also suitable for longer stays.
The position of our house is right next to the highest point on the map. You enjoy a 360° panorama on the Valle d'Itria. It is strategically located between the Adriatic and Ionian seas, between Alberobello and Ostuni. Attractive for couples, single guests, families with children and groups of friends. On the grounds of Masseria Poesia you can use the 1.45 metre deep swimming pool, which has been excavated in the rock of the terraces that descend towards the bottom of the valley. From there you can enjoy the spectacular view of the Valle d'Itria. Every year the pool is emptied, cleaned and filled with fresh water from an Artesian well nearby.
Masseria Poesia occupies 2 hectares of the surrounding countryside. The house lies in the middle of the property, well away from the public road. The access is protected by a gate.
You may rent one or more apartments but it is also possible to rent the entire house. The fully-equipped independent apartments with their terraces guarantee your privacy while the common spaces allow social get-togethers. The house sleeps 16+4 and has 7 bath rooms. Five fully equipped kitchens (stove with 5 gas burners, electric oven and micro-wave oven, toaster, dish washer, refrigerator with freezer, washing machine).
Drinking water. Our tap water is furnished by the public enterprise Acquedotto Pugliese, that sources its water from Basilicata. Perfectly safe, tastes good, and good for the environment. The traditional techniques for constructing trulli and other buildings is a tribute to the wisdom, matured over the centuries, of the local population. Thick stone walls and layers of insulating red soil act as a natural air-conditioning, keeping the houses warm in winter and cool in summer. The structures that have been added later using modern techniques have been provided with air conditioners.
Further amenities include free and fast wifi, ironing board and iron, drying rack, hair dryer, central heating in Winter (you will be charged according to use).
During the Summer months the guests of Masseria Poesia can make free use of the swimming pool.
No smoking inside the apartments and in the common spaces.
Car or motorcycle can be parked on the property.
Cancellation due to covid: in case guests are prevented from staying with us due to government-imposed travel bans due to covid they will be reimbursed in full.
