Matera
At about 80 kms from Masseria Poesia lies fascinating Matera. For its beauty and historical interest (you can still visit the original caves that until after World War II were inhabited) justly recognized by Unesco as a World Heritage Site, center of the vast Murge Natural Park. In 2019 Matera was the World Cultural Capital, in recognition of the city's numerous cultural initiatives in the recent past.
